Competitions

COMPETITION INFORMATION

Club Competitions are held on a regular basis from September to March each year.

Each competition is divided into two categories - Set Subject and Open - with separate sections within each category for Prints and Digital Projected Images.

Members may enter up to three images in both the Print and DPI sections but must use different images in each.

An image may only be used in one Set Subject competition and one Open competition.

Entries are to be handed in to the Competition Secretary one week before each competition. The handing in nights are indicated in red on the Programme.

Only Club members are eligible to enter any competition. For information on how to become a member, see the Join Us page.

Entries for External Competitions will be invited by the Competition Secretary at various times throughout the year.

IMAGE SIZING

PRINTS should have a mount size of no more than 20" by 16".

DPIs should have a canvas size of no more than 1024 px by 768 px at a resolution of 72. If the image is smaller than this, simply increase the Canvas Size to the required dimensions. This adds a nice border to the image and does look very good on screen.
